We've always said... the best ideas come from friends hanging out, eating chicken wings and a few suds .....  Every good  event starts from a good story right?!?

It's 2024, a few fine folks in Paradise, NL have just announced the Paradise Backyard Ultra, and we (Jim, Jef and Kev) decided what better way to spend a weekend road trip in May.  A few months later, after 6 loops and those well deserved beer and wings, the cross-province drive back home was the start of a plan for the inaugural summer of 2025 race.

Welcome to 'The Burfish', the command center for all ideas and everything Crown of the Valley Ultra Backyard.  More than a backyard shed, it's where the idea to bring a backyard ultra to Pasadena, NL really got traction.  A few late nights, budgets scribbled on napkins, and AI generated logos... we hope you enjoy the results.

35 people lined up on the start line on Aug 16, 2025.... and 16 loops (107km) were needed to crown the first winner.  We think we're gonna need more yards for 2026....
